Role: Development Engineering Manager

Piper Maddox is exclusively supporting a very successful developer of utility scale solar and storage projects. Our client is seeking a BESS ProjectDevelopment Engineer to spearhead the development and execution of projects.

They have a robust pipeline, with projects under near-term development and plans to grow its development capacity even more!

Key Requirements (non negotiables):

• Lead the design and development of BESS projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 years minimum in BESS project experience
• 4-6 years minimum in utility-scale solar project experience
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code, NFPA, and UL standards.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale BESS and PV + BESS projects.

You will assist in designing and managing conceptual and detailed BESS and PV + BESS projects, coordinating with third-party engineering and EPC firms to ensure alignment with company standards and regulatory compliance.

Location & Salary

• Remote within the US + travel under 25%
• Base: up to $160k DOE
• Bonus: 20%
