Web Developer (Insurance industry)

Web Developer - Insurance Industry | 100% Remote Opportunity (must live and work in the U.S without sponsorship) The Web Developer will participate in the design, development and maintenance of our corporate websites. They will have the opportunity to help us reshape the customer and employee experience. This role will utilize front- and back-end technical skillset and big ideas to make an immediate impact. Preference given to those with 4+ years working in a highly regulated industry (insurance, finance, healthcare, etc.. ) Must have both WordPress and SharePoint experience. Responsibilities & Duties

• Work with product management to interpret customer specifications and identifying website user requirements.
• Support projects that range from light on-page copy edits and publishing to developing new functionality, coding redesigns, web architecture optimization, website backups and migrations, and more.
• Provide development and support on our internal and external websites, servers and integrations, including working with internal engineering teams on security, governance, accessibility, data capture, APIs, etc.
• Support our employee intranet site built on Sharepoint.
• Provide general technical support and web development assistance to our business partners.
• Work alongside our UI designers, product managers, marketing, enterprise architecture and operations teams to implement wireframes, develop templates, create new features and architecture that supports an end-to-end digital user experience
• Research technical elements of high-performing modern websites, from design and performance (parallax, bootstrap, etc.) to website analytics & tagging (data layer pushes, Pendo, etc.)
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science-related fields
• 2-4 years of experience in web development
• Expert level experience with WordPress or Kinsta
• SharePoint knowledge and experience
• Demonstrate solid communication skills – both written and verbal
• Demonstrate solid customer service and research abilities
• Ability to multi-task
• Problem-solving: Simplify complex tasks and review complex code structures
• Experience working with online marketing, the web, new media, UX/UI, etc.
• Technical skills in JavaScript, HTML and CSS based webpages
• Prior experience working in a highly regulated industry (insurance, banking, finance, healthcare, etc.)

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above. Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
