Technical Lead (.Net)

One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Technical Lead (.Net). This is a long-term contractual position.

1. **Contract Duration:**18 Months (12 Months initially + 06 Months extension)
2. Work Location: Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne (Remote Working)
3. Eligibility: You must need to have Baseline Security Clearance or above
4. Tentative Start Date: 1st July 2025

Position Description:

Technical Leads will be required to work with the project team, liaise with the technical team and lead work to develop new code, uplift existing code and deliver requirements for enhancements and improvements.

This role will be responsible for, but not limited, to:

• Participating in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to develop and maintain a C# based, n-tier, enterprise software and associated documentation in accordance with client standards.
• Following the Scrum Development Methodology for all software development projects.
• Liaising with technical and business area staff to facilitate the rapid resolution of issues and faults within fielded production systema and those still under development.
• Leading development team through workload allocation and mentoring and advising on agile development processes.
• Developing and regularly maintaining system development schedule to ensure milestones and timelines are met.
• Ensuring that outcomes are effectively communicated to the product owners, establishing the basis for future practice.
• Tracking sprint progress and identifying any divergence from allocated tasks.
• Overseeing and presenting system showcases to various stakeholders as required.
• Understanding the product planning lifecycle and effectively managing the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner and Scrum Master.
• Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly rituals are run effectively, efficiently and regularly.
• Proactively (and reactively) identifying and clearing organisational roadblocks and interferences that may distract development.
• Facilitating development across stakeholder groups within the client.
• Performing additional responsibilities as required and directed by the relevant Director/Team Leader or delegate.

Essential Criteria:

• Evidenced experience and qualifications as a Technical Lead with the proven ability to lead, manage and mentor a development team.
• Proven hands-on technical lead experience working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as experience in technical analysis and design with the ability to act as a liaison between the tech and business team.
• Backend development experience using web API and SQL technologies with strong experience in developing automated application build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment (.NET Core), and additional Microsoft technology stack.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based applications development and ability to implement integration requirements to perform end to end solution designs.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network with demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development, promoting professionalism and, experience in successfully setting priorities to deliver quality results on time and on budget.
