POSITION DESCRIPTION

Our deployments grew 100x, our product line has grown 3x. 

We are looking for a machine learning scientist to join our data science and ML research group.

You’ll have colleagues in data engineering, ML engineering (model deployment) and MLops.

We focus on new model development and improvements. Boosting models, LLM distillation, etc.

And we focus on personal growth, mentored by a Stanford Professor.

Members of our group have gone on, in due course, to the best PhD programs in the country and to highly coveted FAANG positions.

Responsibilities

• Design, code and test machine learning and language understanding prototypes from structured and unstructured data
• Perform error analysis to derive actionable insights into model improvements
• Collaborate in a like minded team of data science and machine learning scientists
• Interact often with data and production deployment engineers
• Provide queries to backend engineering and feedback/guidance for frontend design

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Physics or Applied Mathematics
• Course based understanding of the foundational concepts of machine learning
• 2+ years of industry experience in model building  
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and SQL
• Experience with tabular data, time series and/or foundation models based NLP/NLU
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team 

Bonus Points

• More advanced degree in the same fields listed above
• 1+ years of guided research work in a university computational lab
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, git preferred)
