Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a Senior Android Developer. The Senior Android Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing new features to enhance user experience.

Spoony is a growing startup with a small engineering team, so you’ll need to be resourceful and comfortable tackling challenges in a fast-paced environment. If you’re a proactive problem solver who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in dynamic settings, we’d love to hear from you.

Location

This is a hybrid remote role. While you’ll primarily work remotely, we prefer candidates based in Sydney who can meet and collaborate in person with our CTO as needed.

Contract

3 months (January 27th to April 27th) with the possibility of an extension

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Kotlin
• Experience with Android SDK, RESTful APIs, and mobile UI/UX design
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
