Ralliant's New Headquarters in Raleigh
Technology company Ralliant has announced plans to establish its headquarters in Raleigh, which will create up to 180 high-paying jobs by 2029. This project is expected to add nearly $1 billion to the state's economy.
Job Creation and Salaries
As part of this initiative, Ralliant is expected to offer average annual salaries between $170,531 and $189,479, significantly exceeding the county's average for private-sector jobs. The new Raleigh office will serve as a strategic and operational hub, focusing on various roles including:
- Financial planning and accounting
- Regulatory compliance
- Risk management
- Corporate development
- Legal and compliance executives
- Human resources professionals
- Tech support personnel
State Incentives and Economic Impact
To support this expansion, state commerce officials approved incentives worth up to $3.5 million, which includes a jobs grant of up to $2.6 million to be paid over 12 years, contingent upon meeting hiring and investment targets. The overall project is projected to boost the state's GDP by up to $976 million throughout the grant's duration.
Why Raleigh?
Ralliant, a unit of Fortive, had also considered Beaverton, Oregon, for its headquarters but ultimately chose Raleigh due to its labor costs and available workforce. Tami Newcombe, Ralliant's CEO, highlighted Raleigh's strong high-tech research presence, top universities, and skilled workforce as key factors in their decision.
North Carolina Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley praised Ralliant's move as a testament to the city's talent pool and quality of life, emphasizing the state's strengths in data analytics and IT product development.
With Ralliant's commitment to driving breakthroughs and empowering progress, Raleigh is set to become a significant hub of innovation and opportunity.
