Mobile Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer for a short-term contract to assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of our mobile device management system. The MDM Engineer will work closely with our IT and security teams to ensure the smooth integration of mobile devices into the organization's network while maintaining robust security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• MDM System Configuration: Configure, deploy, and maintain MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron, etc.) to manage and secure mobile devices across the organization.
• Mobile Device Enrolment: Oversee the enrollment process of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops) into the MDM system.
• Policy Management: Develop and implement security policies for mobile devices, including encryption, VPN, app whitelisting, and compliance monitoring.
• Troubleshooting: Provide support for any issues related to MDM, including device enrollment, app deployment, and security policy enforcement.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (IT support, security, and infrastructure) to ensure that mobile devices are compliant with the organization’s security and operational standards.
• Reporting & Auditing: Monitor and generate reports on mobile device usage, compliance status, and security incidents, ensuring that all devices adhere to corporate policies.
• Security Updates: Regularly apply updates, patches, and security fixes to MDM systems and related mobile device configurations.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for MDM configurations, policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with major MDM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron, Jamf).
• Strong understanding of mobile device security protocols and best practices.
• Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows 10 Mobile).
• Experience in configuring and managing mobile application management (MAM) solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to mobile devices, apps, and MDM solutions.
• Experience with device enrollment, policy management, and security configurations.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and integration (VPN, Active Directory, email configurations, etc.) is a plus.

Desirable:

• Certifications related to MDM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
• Familiarity with enterprise mobility solutions and integration with existing enterprise systems.
