The Opportunity Flock Safety’s Supply Chain is responsible for the uninterrupted supply to our customers. As part of the Supply Chain, the Sourcing Manager is responsible for ensuring cost optimization, multi-sourcing and material readiness for both new product introduction and mass production. We are seeking someone with strong supply chain experience and an aptitude for building strong relationships with global vendors. The ideal candidate has the relevant experience to be operationally excellent paired with a growth mindset that allows for creative problem solving. They have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to negotiate and collaborate with both internal and external partners. This role is crucial to the company’s overall success, in order to ensure material readiness to build and install our public safety operating system in thousands of communities across the United States. How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Manage contract manufacturers (CMs) and vendors to ensure device supply for Drone-as-a-First-Responder (DFR) to include drones, docks, radars and any required accessories. Maintain key documentation for business visibility.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with CMs and vendors; own business-to-business relationship. Lead pricing negotiations to meet and exceed cost savings targets.
  • Work closely with DFR Deployment and across Aviation Engineering to coordinate material for rapid deployment to key customers.
  • Identify and execute cost savings opportunities with support of NPI and Engineering.
  • Lead and coordinate QBRs once per quarter with CMs and key vendors/suppliers; pull in cross-functional groups to include Engineering, Quality, etc.
  • Manage and coordinate off-shore launching new devices with CMs to ensure continuity of production and device supply within budget and PPV guidelines
  • Coordinate with the broader operations group within Flock; work closely with Engineering to ensure production of high quality devices to support customer installs and maintenance targets.
  • Work within Supply Chain and cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Asset Operations, Finance to plan and execute operations while staying within budget limitations.
  • Perform regular supply vs. demand analysis for critical materials to identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures.
  • Purchase key material to support DFR deployments; issuing purchase orders; help establish new vendors as needed.

The Skillset

  • 5+ years electronics supply chain or program management experience
  • Aviation or automotive supply chain or manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Electronics experience a must have
  • A degree in a supply chain, sourcing, business, or engineering
  • Extensive experience working with and managing suppliers
  • Experience in new product development
  • Experience in working with electrical and mechanical suppliers
  • Able to multi-task and adjust in rapidly changing situations
  • Strong project management skills and decision making
  • Able to demonstrate organizational skills, maintain inbound device documentation, and develop key one-page documents to support decision making
  • Worked fluidly in a cross-functional team environment involving Manufacturing, Engineering, and Product Development teams.
  • Understand production quotas, targets, OEE, Toyota Production System, Lean Manufacturing, Lean Supply Chain

  • Start key strategy development with stakeholders
  • Working with DFR Deployments to meet material needs
  • Plan and maintain Device Supply for current quarter and remaining 2025 quarters

  • Key CM & Supplier strategy needs to be in process

  • Operating independently.
  • Relationships with CMs & vendors have been built.
  • Maintaining targets and ensuring devices are available to support deliveries to customers

Salary & Equity In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $102,000-$140,000 as well as stock options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
