Freelance Web Analytics and reporting role

Help us turn data into insight with monthly reporting & monitoring.

We're looking for an experienced freelance Analytics Specialist to support our team with setup, monthly reporting, and ongoing monitoring. You’ll be working with a range of tools and datasets across web, SEO, and product analytics – helping us make smarter decisions and track what matters most.

Key responsibilities:

• Own our monthly performance reporting, including insights, trend analysis and SEO metrics
• Use GA4 and Google Tag Manager to ensure accurate event tracking and conversion measurement
• Monitor and analyse traffic sources using Google Search Console
• Set up, maintain and optimise reporting in Looker Studio, with clean data sources and clear, client-friendly dashboards. Run deeper data analysis using BigQuery when needed
• Cross-reference reporting with data from Ahrefs to support our content and SEO strategies
• Identify opportunities for improvement in data setup or strategy, and flag any anomalies or tracking issues

You’ll need to have:

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
• Google Search Console
• Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio)
• Google BigQuery
• Google Tag Manager (GTM)
• Ahrefs
• A solid understanding of digital marketing and SEO metrics
• Sharp attention to detail and a love of clean, well-structured data
• Confidence working independently and communicating findings clearly

Certifications we’d like to see:

• Google Analytics Certification
• Google Tag Manager Certification (or equivalent demonstrable expertise)
• Google Looker Studio / Data Studio Qualification (optional but beneficial)

This is a freelance, remote-first role.

We'd like to discuss our reporting requirements and agree on a fixed number of days with you and some flexibility built in. We'll be able to share our current reporting processes and reports on the initial call.
